The option to Edit comments, Target Completion Dates and Action Owners once an action plan is in progress.
Customer Challenge
Sometimes comments within Action Plans that are 'In Progress' may need changing because the manager of the service has changed so we need to alter the name, or we may want to extend the target completion date. It can also be because the situation has changed since the initial assessment, and we need to edit the comment to reflect the current situation. This change could work by having an “Edit” button, or similar, next to the existing buttons that sit alongside the actions. The History button could record the audit trail of any older comments so changes would still be tracked. Currently we can add additional comments, which publish below the original one, but this can look unclear, especially if users are already struggling to navigate the system, or we can raise a ticket to get the action plan rolled back, but this can be time consuming for the Assessor and for the Access support team, and risks losing work. Again, once additional comments are added, they are also uneditable, therefore any changes cannot be made, including simple changes such as spelling errors or to address factual inaccuracies. The action plan is a working document, so more freedom to make changes would be helpful. |
